Abstract��
A simpler and niore sensitive stereoselective assay for quantitation of S( ) andR(+)-propranolol using HPLC with precolumn chemical derivatization was developed.Diphenylarnine was used as internal standard and R(+)-phenylethylisocyanate as the chiralderivatizing agent. S (-) and R ( + )propranolol were separated cornpletely on an ODS column.Methanolisopropranoldichloromethane-water(70 �� 5 �� 1. 25 �� 35) was used as the mobile phase.The retention times of internal standard ,S(-) and R( + )propranolol enantiomers in humans.
