OBJECTIVE To analyze the chemical constituents of the essential oil from the flowers of Meconopsis integrifolia in Tibet.METHODS The essential oil was extracted by steam distillation,and its compositions were isolated and identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometer(GC-MS).The analysis was performed on a HP-5 capillary column(0.25 mm×30 m,0.25 μm).The column temperature was programmedly elevated from 60 ℃ to 120 ℃ at 15 ℃·min-1,and held at 120 ℃ for 3 min,then heated from 130 ℃ to 230 ℃ at 5 ℃·min-1,and held at 230 ℃ for 3 min.The carrier gas was He(0.9 mL·min-1),and the split ratio was 9∶1.The ionization mode was EI which electron energy was 70 eV,and the mass scan range was from 40 to 400 amu.RESULTS Fifty-five compounds were isolated and identified,representing 92.4% of the total essential oil.CONCLUSION The main compounds of the essential oil are bombykal(26.0%),2-heptadecanone(11.6%),methyl linoleiate(11.3%)and farnesol(6.9%).
