OBJECTIVE To establish a HPLC method for the determination of pipotiazine palmitate in pipotiazine injection. METHODS With a CN analytical column , the mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-0.02 mol·L-1 potassium dihydrogen phosphate-10% tetramethyl ammonium hydroxide(60∶40∶1), adjusted to pH 7.0 with phosphoric acid. The flow rate was 1.0 mL·min-1 and UV detector wavelength was at 266 nm. RESULTS A good linear relationship was obtained in the concentration range of 5~250 mg·L-1,the average recovery was 99.5%, and relative standard deviation was 1.1%. CONCLUSION The method is high sensitivity, simple and accurate.
