OBJECTIVE: To investigate the chemical constituents from the herbs of Siegesbeckia glabrescens. METHODS: To isolate chemical constituent. We used the solvent extration together with column chromatography. IR, MS, NMR and chemical methods were used to determine the structure of the isolated constituents. RESULTS: In five constituents obtained, the sturctures were elucidated as ent-16β, 17-dihydroxykaurna-19-oic acid(Ⅰ), glycerol monopalmitate(Ⅱ) , ent-kauran-16β,17,18-triol(Ⅲ) , 18-hydroxykauran-16-en-19-oic acid(Ⅳ)and daucosterol(Ⅴ). CONCLUSION: Compounds of(Ⅰ) ~ (Ⅲ)were separated from S. glabrescens for the first time, and compounds of(Ⅰ) ,(Ⅲ)and(Ⅳ)belong to diterpenes.
