The heat solid-liquid extraction process,used in extracting berbetine from coptis,is described. The result of contrasting this method with traditional ways indicates that former issuperior to the latter,therefore the extraction of Chinese medicinal herbs is provided with thenew way. Some optimal extraction conditions are listed in this paper.The quality of berberinemeets the request of medication.
