The pharmacokinetics after single intravenous injection of cephradine 50mg/lg was studied in 15 neonates.The peak concentration was 84.30±28.00mg/L after injection.The elimination T_1/2 was 1.91 ±0.56h, the volume of distribution 0.76 ±0.28L/kg, the clerance of cephradine 0.322±.126L.h^-1·kg^-1.The difference for elimination of cephradine in different dag age was studied.Comparison as the data in neonateas over 14 days and under 14 days showed that T_1/2(β)is shorter and the clearance is larger.The urine cephradine concentration at 8 hours after injection was 1058±61.75mg/L, showing that the elimination of cephradine in neonates is slowerthan that in adults.It is suggested that the interval of dosage for neonates may be longer than that for adults.
