OBJECTIVE To study the chemical constituents of the antitumor active fractions from Parnassia palustris. METHODS The chemical constituents of dichloromethane and ethyl acetate extracts from Artemisia integrifolia L were isolated by kinds of chromatography. Their structures were identified by NMR data analysis. RESULTS Five compounds, namely celahin B(1), mussaenin A (2), gardendiol (3), isoboonein (4), 4-epi-alyxialactone (5) from the dichloromethane extract and six compounds, namely quercetin (6), kaempferol (7), gallic acid (8), chlorogenic acid (9), hyperosid (10), and kaempferol-3-O-beta-rutinoside (11) from the ethyl acetate extract were obtained. CONCLUSION Compounds 1-5, 7, 9, and 10 are isolated from this plant for the first time.
