Abstract
OBJECTIVE To develop a headspace capillary gas chromatography method for the determination of residual organic solvents in porcine pulmonary surfactant.METHODS The samples were injected into HP-624 capillary column by headspace sampling and analyzed by using n-propanol as internal standard with FID detector.RESULTS The linear ranges of methanol, acetone and chloroform were 17.55877.3 mgL-1(r=0.999 9) ,29.621 481.8 mgL-1(r=1.000 0)and 0.358 2-17.91 mgL-1(r=0.999 8),respectively.The recoveries were 102.7%,98.1% and 99.3% with RSDs of 1.5% ,1.3% and 2.9% , respectively (n=9). CONCLUSION The method is simple, accurate and sensitive with good reproducibility. It can be used for the determination of the residual organic solvents in porcine pulmonary surfactant.
