Abstract��
OBJECTIVE: To control the quality of Niuhuang Shedan Chuanbei Ye,the identification method of artificial cowbezoar,Shedan Zhi,menthol and the contene determination of total cholic acid in the samples were established. METHODS: TLC method was selected to identify artificial cow-bezoar,Shedan Zhi and menthol.UV was used to determine the content of total cholic acid. RESULTS: For cholic acid,the linear ranged over 0.004��0.02mg��ml-1 with r=0.9996,the average recovery was 98.95% with RSD=1.34%. CONCLUSION :The methods were proved to be simple,precise sensitive and reproducible.It can be used for the quality control of Niuhuang Shedan Chuanbei Ye.The results showed that the differences of contents of total cholic acid in 6 samples were significant.
