Abstract ��
OBJECTIVE To compare and identify Zaocys dhumnades. and its adulterant Elaphe dione..METHOD Thin layer chromatography,paper chromatography,and ultraviolet absorption spectrum were used respectively.RESULTS There were significant differences on their shapes and characteristics of crude drug,on thin layer chromatography and paper chromatography between Zaocys dhumnades. and Elaphe dione.,and little difference between their ultraviolet absorption spectrum.CONCLUSION .Elaphe dione. should not be used as medicine Zaocys dhumnades.
