Abstract: Recently, mounting evidences have suggested the therapeutic potential of Nrf2/ARE activators for treating Ischemic stroke. Moreover, several Nrf2 activators attenuate ischemic stroke-induced brain injury in several transient focal cerebral ischemia (tMCAO) in experimental animal models.

Key words: ischemic stroke, NF-E2-related factor 2(Nrf2), natural compounds, transient focal cerebral ischemia
