Role of extracellular vesicles derived from apoptotic tumor cells in cancer

摘要: 细胞外囊泡(EVs)是由脂质双分子层包绕形成的球状膜性囊泡;凋亡的肿瘤细胞产生的囊泡(Apo-EVs),包括凋亡小体,包含了众多的生物活性分子和细胞器, 介导了肿瘤细胞间的信号转导,参与了肿瘤的生长过程。本文就Apo-EVs在癌的生长及转移过程中的作用作一综述; 同时亦介绍了Apo-EVs在临床上的应用,包括作为诊断和预后的指标以及作为药物的输送载体。

Abstract: Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are spherical membranous vesicles surrounded by lipid bilayers. Apoptotic tumor cells-derived EVs (Apo-EVs), also named apoptosis body, were produced by apoptotic tumor cells. Functionally these Apo-EVs contained many active molecules and subcellular organelles, thus mediated signaling transduction among tumor cells and play an essential role in tumorigenesis. We summarized the role of Apo-EVs in cancer development and metastasis, also introduce its application in clinic setting such as the biomarker of diagnosis and prognostic as well as delivery carrier of therapeutic drug.
